Training of Trainers

Baku, Azerbaijan 30 Nov, -0001 916

Eurasia Hub has held a ‘Training of Trainers’ on 3-5 April, 2017 at Khazar University in Baku, Azerbaijan. The training provided 15 participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine with knowledge, tools and skills on training processes and methods. Thus, a selected team of successful Hub alumni from previous trainings had an opportunity to improve skills in delivering hands-on trainings on extractive industries.

Galib Efendiev delivered sessions on “Basic Principles of Training” that covered both theoretical aspects of the subject and provided tools set necessary for delivering a successful training. Sessions that focused on EITI included “From Reports to Reforms” delivered by Farid Guliyev, “State Owned Enterprises” by Galib Efendiev and “EITI Mainstreaming” by Ingilab Ahmadov.

Group works, role-plays and individual presentations helped participants to engage with each other more closely and apply the knowledge and skills received during the sessions in practice. Presentations of the participants in the end of the third day gave an opportunity to assess how well they acquired skills for preparation of high quality presentations in the future. Several participants mentioned that they would have to conduct trainings on the related subjects in near future and attending the training was highly useful for that.

At the end of the training Simone Haeberli, Deputy Regional Director of Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus and Ingilab Ahmadov, Director of Eurasia Hub awarded the participants with certificates.
