Alexander is based in the London office and works on the NRGI’s campaign for commodities trading transparency and on the analysis of mandatory payment disclosure data.
Prior to joining NRGI, he worked as a Resources Policy Consultant for S&P, conducting governance and transparency research for organisations including the European Union, the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the World Bank.
Alexander recently wrote an article, published in the Extractives Industries and Society Journal, examining the effect EITI implementation has on a country’s investment climate.
He holds an M.Sc. from the UCL School of International Public Policy and a B.A. in International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London.
